Head Light Badminton Racquets (Speed Players)

Head-light rackets carry their weight toward the handle, so the head comes back faster. They are built for speed rather than raw power.

This is the doubles front-court racket: fast flat exchanges, quick blocks, and defence against a smash where the difference between reaching the shuttle and not is measured in fractions. Players who drive and counter-attack rather than out-hit tend to prefer them.

You give up some smash weight. Most players who choose these decide that getting the racket there matters more than what happens when it arrives.
